“I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a participant in the Institute for Youth Justice! During my experience, I gained more knowledge of the agencies and processes established in both local and national government levels to control crime, impose penalties on those who violate the laws, and connect with other intelligent youth in Spartanburg County! One of my favorite memories was being able to meet Head Solicitor, Mr. Barry Barnette, and tour the Spartanburg County Courthouse! Currently, I am a junior Political Science Major at the University of South Carolina Honors College. I continued to pursue my interest in Criminal Justice by Interning at the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office in the Post Conviction Unit.”
